ANSWERS QUESTION ON 28th SEPTEMBER  2007

Question: Please provide the Vietnam Government’s comment on this week’s protests in Myanmar?

Answer: As a regional country, Vietnam is keenly interested in recent developments in Myanmar and expects concerned parties in the country to exercise restraints and solve differences through peaceful negotiations enabling the situation to be stabilized soon. 

We wish Myanmar to actively and effectively implement the Seven - point Road Map.

Vietnam hopes the Myanmar Government and the UN will cooperate with each other in a constructive spirit, making contribution to promoting the national reconciliation and harmonization process in conformity with long-term interest of Myanmar and the region.
