05-12-2008, 10:33 am

Question: What is Vietnam’s response on the toll caused by the earthquake in Sichuan, China?

Answer: We are deeply touched by the news that the earthquake in Sichuan has caused enormous damages to the Chinese people, leaving thousands dead or missing and directly affecting millions of people. We would like to extend our most profound condolences and sincere sympathy to the Party, State and people of China and the victims’ families.

It’s our belief that the brotherly Chinese people will certainly overcome the consequences, resume production and stabilize their lives soon.

On 13 May 2008, Vietnamese leaders sent messages of condolences to leaders of the Party, State and the stricken region’s people.
