Question: Please advise Vietnam’s comment on the recent developments in the relationship between Cambodia and Thailand relating to sovereignty of Preah Vihear Temple?

Answers:

Vietnam follows very closely the current situation concerning Preah Vihear Temple and its vicinity. We expect the two sides to excersice restraint, avoid allowing complicated developments, and try to settle outstanding issues through peaceful negotiations in the spirit of friendship and solidarity of ASEAN, for the sake of the two countries’ interest, and ASEAN’s stability and development.
